Linda Glass-Ward is the owner and operator of the Glass Ward Bed & Breakfast, which opened just outside of Harriston in the Spring of 2015. This B&B is different than most because the patrons are not at the liberty of the owner’s schedule. Here, breakfast foods are supplied, and guests prepare their own meals at their leisure. The room on the main floor of the building includes it
s own private entrance, and with 5 horses available, guests have the opportunity to enjoy riding lessons in the 20x40 metre indoor riding arena during their stay.
With over 30 years of riding experience, including winning many prizes at horse shows, the horses that call the Glass Ward B&B home are very well cared for and well mannered. While they are relatively new to the hospitality industry, the Glass Wards love to entertain, and teach people about riding.
The Glass-Ward B&B opened in Minto because this family has lived here for over 20 years They love the feel of the community, and they’re sure that travelers and touristswould love it too. Their facility is perfect for those who just need a place to lay their head for the night, as well as for those who normally live in a city and who would just like to get away to a nice, quiet place. The property is also a great place to see different types of birds in the warmer months, and a lovely area in which to go cross country skiing during the winter.
